We have had a very busy start to Term 3.
Room 14 has a new classroom helper to keep us healthy; Mr Squirty is our hand sanitizer. We use Mr Squirty if we are very sick after blowing our nose, or before we eat.
We began the term by learning about Respect and what this looks like in Room 14. We have worked hard to create a display just outside our classroom, which you are welcome to come and view.
We have had two visits from Whaea Isobelle where we sang some action songs, and even wrote our own song about fruit!
As we know, Miss Harris is new to Room 14, so Hibiscus and Eshaan took turns teaching Miss Harris how we do Daily Maths!
During our reading session last Wednesday, we were lucky enough to witness the school sandpit being refilled!
And finally, on the way to the Library that same day we noticed that the clouds were moving and were all different shapes. We stopped and took some pictures, and the next day we looked at weather around the world, what a cloud is made of, how clouds move, and when pretended to be the wind using our arms and legs.
For those who have not met me officially, my name is Janelle Harris and I am teaching your children! You are welcome to come and say hello before or after school, or if you have any concerns, please do not hesitate to get it touch via email: janelleh@target.school.nz
Here's to looking forward to a fantastic Term 3!
