Welcome to Term Two!

Wrapping up Term One

We worked hard on some Easter art before the holidays. Pop into class to see our Easter Bunnies!

Working Together

Room 14 worked together by linking hands and working our way from one end of the Netball court to the other. We practiced as a class before challenging Room 11 to a game!

It was a very close game, but Room 11 came away as champions. We made sure to congratulate them, even though we were a little disappointed that we didn't win.

Lucy

Meet our friendly sparrow, Lucy! She popped into Room 14 one morning as we were getting ready to do some reading. We dropped our plans, let Lucy go home to her family, and thought of some ways we could describe Lucy.

Lucy still pops by to say hello from the classroom door.

Holiday Snaps!

Miss Harris went on holiday all the way to Japan! If you have a cool photo from your holidays, send it to Miss Harris on an email and we will have a special "Holiday Snaps" blog post. Be on the lookout for your picture!

Kicking off Term Two

WALT behave responsibly in the Library and enjoy sitting down to share a story with a friend.

Netball

We are having lots of fun learning about Netball with Coach Arna.

We learnt to do some Netball drills and jump with soft feet and zig zag between cones with little steps.

We practiced bouncing balls up and down with our fingertips, and passing to a friend.

Discovering Systems around TRS

This term we are learning about systems. We are focusing on the four systems that all come togehter to make up our world. We explored our school to see what spheres we can find.

Caysen noticed the grass which is part of the Biosphere because it is a living thing.

Hyeon Seong noticed the clouds and sky which are part of our atmosphere.

Evan noticed some big trees which are part of the Biosphere because they are living things.

Danielle, Aria and Meila noticed some sand which is part of the Geosphere.

Kendall noticed some grass and some dirt together. This shows how the grass in the Biosphere and the dirt in the Geosphere are connected.

What is your favourite...

Room 14 learnt about statistics by thinking of our own questions and asking our classmates.

HAROLD!

We had a great time meeting Harold and learning about the systems of our bodies.

Daily Maths

The students of Room 14 love being the teacher when it is Daily Maths time. Hyeon Seong and Ryan did a great job when it was their turns!
