Term 2 Week 1

Spaghetti and Meatballs

We started the term by sharing our holiday news with a buddy. We sat in two circles, and the middle circle faced the outside circle. We took turns sharing our news before moving around the circle to a new buddy.

Daily Maths

This Term we have moved Daily Maths from the whiteboard to our own books! We have to work in a group with some of our classmates to answer the questions. We each get to write in our book once a week. 

Fun with Boxes!

In Room 14 we love playing with boxes and making creations. Miss Harris found some boxes for us that she let us use for anything we could think of. 

If you have any empty boxes at home (even cereal boxes, egg cartons, or cardboard tubes!) please think of us and bring them in. We will happily accept any and all boxes you bring us!

Playing!

When we play in the cafe we are improving our oral language and getting better at expressing our ideas to our friends. We are also learning to solve problems without the help of an adult, which helps us to think critically.

Liam is tidying up after carefully putting the Uno cards into order. He has grouped the same numbers together. 

Aria and Renata worked hard to spell out the names of people who are important to them. They have also included the ages of all of these people! Great to see Renata's dad Mark is so young at only 21 years old!

Buddy Class

Buddy class joined us this week to help us with our Ring Words, and join us in some imaginative play. They had a blast using our dress ups box, construction toys, and the loom bands that Ariana was generous enough to bring in for us!
